I went on a little photo adventure yesterday as the snow and ice melted, just as the sun was setting.
It has been rather snowy over the past few days, so last night I decided to snap a few frames of the branches outside my apartment.
I almost chose to stay in since it was so late and I was quite cold, hoping that my shot would still be there the next day, but if there is one thing I have learned with design and photography it is to never bank on tomorrow.

Easier than Pie is filled with simple recipes that anyone can enjoy. This cookbook, compiled by college student Samantha Armacost for her senior design thesis, has a variety of dishes from smoothies to entrees that anyone can make in the most basic of kitchens. Perfect for college students or first time apartment dwellers, Easier than Pie is simply that.

The redesign for www.chautauqualakerental.com was one of my first forays into using CSS exclusively.
The client wanted a refresh of their existing site to showcase the charming atmosphere associated with the relaxing property, while also being a quick load for users with slower Internet connections.
As is standard with all my website set ups, I included Google Analytics so the site owners will receive monthly emails of traffic to their website. From this information the owners were able to conclude that site traffic dramatically increased once the redesign was complete.
“Working with Samantha was pleasure. She listened to our thoughts and desires for the site and implemented them accordingly. The traffic to the site www.chautauqualakerental.com has more than tripled. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for any web design work.” – Andreas R. Tabor
After my recent re-discovery of tutorials, I have taken to briefly reading through the articles on Vectortuts or PSDtuts in order to gather the general ideas behind the tools and concepts behind the final result while keeping in mind the potential use in my professional output. However, an article posted by Katie Marcus on a developing a sketchy camera illustration caught my fancy. Was it the style, or the fact that I’m obsessive about my Holga? Whatever the reason, I kept it flagged as unread in my Google Reader until I had time to work through it.
Combining my love of photography, and my love of Illustrator (and, of course, the information provided by the tutorial), I have embarked on a personal project illustrating vintage cameras.
